Rwanda Genocide Anniversary: How Rwanda’s Women Rebuilt Their Country
WfWI-Rwanda Country Director Antoinette Uwimana shares how women have led her country’s recovery since the genocide, and how WfWI’s programs have invested in women since 1997 to help them rebuild. For example, graduates of WfWI’s programs have begun cooperatives in the male-dominated field of beekeeping, and have provided income-generating opportunities to hundreds of women.
