Opening a symposium on “Public Health, Intellectual Property and TRIPS at 20” at the WTO’s headquarters on 28 October 2015, Director-General Roberto Azevêdo emphasized that the TRIPS (trade-related aspects of intellectual property rights) Agreement can be part of the solution in tackling public health challenges in developing countries.
