UNIDO, GEF and IIASA partner to develop integrated solutions for energy, water, food, and ecosystem security
VIENNA, 11 March 2015 – The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF) will work closely together…Under the new initiative, the three organizations will jointly focus on developing and implementing integrated solutions for energy, water, food, and ecosystem security in regions characterized by extreme hydro-climatic complexity, multiple energy and land use challenges, and rapid demographic, economic, and climate change. They will also provide policy guidelines and make strategic recommendations to governments and to the GEF partnership.
