ECPAT welcomes joint commitment of Pope Francis, Obama to end human trafficking

His Holiness Pope Francis and the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, have declared a common commitment to the eradication of trafficking in persons. The commitment was made as an outcome of the 27 March meeting between Pope Francis and President Obama in Vatican City.

ECPAT International, a global network of organisations dedicated to ending the commercial sexual exploitation of children, published a country monitoring report today, outlining the status of action against the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) in Nigeria.
